Oklo Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Thermal-Hydraulics and Safety Analysis Engineer to own the safety case for next-gen domestic isotope production reactors. You will develop transient models, evaluate reactor response, and ensure licensing readiness.

Work with cross-functional teams to define analysis plans, document methodologies, and support regulatory interactions. Strong emphasis on independent work in a fast-paced startup environment and delivering auditable analyses.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years in reactor thermal-hydraulics or safety analysis.
• Experience with RELAP5 for transient modeling.
• Ability to document analyses clearly for licensing.
• Independent work with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Mansioni

• Develop, maintain, and execute systems-level thermal-hydraulic models using RELAP5 or comparable codes.
• Analyze operating conditions and design-basis events relevant to the safety case.
• Develop event-specific analysis plans including uncertainties and acceptance criteria.
• Document thermal-hydraulic methods and practices for licensing.
• Establish code/model applicability and justify assumptions.
• Perform verification, validation, and uncertainty analyses; identify data gaps.
• Translate regulatory requirements into analysis strategies.
• Prepare calculation packages and licensing content.
• Evaluate design changes and licensing impact.
• Collaborate across reactor physics, controls, licensing teams.
• Develop scripts/workflows for model generation and post-processing.
