Job summary

Oklo Inc. is seeking a software engineer to collaborate with nuclear engineers on modeling, simulating, designing, and deploying advanced fission power technology. You will transform reactor data, build CI/CD pipelines, and create tools for visualization and analysis in a fast-paced startup setting.

A nuclear background is not required, but curiosity and eagerness to learn are essential. Remote-friendly work with travel to Santa Clara, CA as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of work experience.
Fluency in Python.
Proficiency in Git.
Experience with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

Transform and optimize storage of reactor data and results.
Design and configure CI/CD pipelines for multiphysics analyses.
Build tools for reactor engineers to visualize and compare reactor designs and their physics.
Integrate simulation tools into analyses pipelines.
Implement physics kernels to solve problems or improve models.
Develop high-level reactor optimization schemes and statistical experiments.
Identify and improve process inefficiencies in reactor design that can be addressed with software.
