Job summary

Endeavor Optical Networks Inc. seeks an experienced Thermal Design Engineer to own thermal design and analysis for the optical terminal, bench, and future flight payload.

You will ensure stability tight enough to hold sub-micron alignment, collaborating with Optomechanical and electronics teams. You will handle heat management for high-power amplifiers and drivers, and define thermal interfaces across deployment sites.

Qualifications

• Must have deep thermal design and analysis capabilities.
• Fluent with thermal tools such as Thermal Desktop, ANSYS, or COMSOL.
• Experience with cooling of high-power components and precision hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal design and analysis for optical terminal, bench, and flight payload.
• Maintain thermal stability to sub-micron alignment in coordination with STOP.
• Manage heat for high-power amplifiers, drivers, and electronics near optics.
• Define thermal interfaces and budgets for payload with Satellite Systems Engineer.
• Develop the roadmap from demonstrator to field- and orbit-survivable terminal.
