Job summary

Array Labs seeks a Thermal Engineer to own the thermal design of radar satellites and payloads, from architecture through flight verification. You will build and test hardware, extend our in‑house Python thermal tool, and work with RF, electrical, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure on‑orbit reliability.

This role sits in a fast‑growing team delivering a world‑class constellation. You’ll define heat rejection architectures, design radiators, run thermal vacuum campaigns, and translate test

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or STEM.
• 3+ years of hardware fielding in thermally constrained products.
• Proficient in Python; experience extending engineering tools.
• Hands-on experience building and testing thermal hardware.
• Strong grounding in heat transfer fundamentals.
• Excellent teamwork and communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative design environment.

Responsibilities

• Define spacecraft and payload thermal architecture, radiator sizing and conduction paths.
• Own and extend in-house Python thermal simulation framework.
• Support board- and component-level thermal design with junction temp and derating.
• Design, build, and test thermal hardware: radiators, MLI, heaters, and sensors.
• Plan and execute thermal vacuum and balance test campaigns; correlate models with test/flight data.
• Develop thermal requirements, interface control docs, and verification plans.
