Job summary

Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis (MD&A), a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) subsidiary, has an opening for an on-site Industrial Gas Turbines Division (IGT) 1st Shift Thermal/Coating Lead in San Antonio, Texas. The role directs coating strategies at the San Antonio service center.

The candidate should have 3–5 years in thermal spray operations, strong leadership, and excellent communication. The position requires flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and overtime on demand, with the ability to

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in thermal spray operations.
Ability to lead, direct and motivate employees.
Must communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Direct and guide shift employees on production activities.
Assist with operations, control, and monitoring of thermal spray processes/equipment according to procedures.
Review the job folder to verify masking, cleaning, and/or blasting and coating areas.
Confirm all pre-coating requirements are completed per job router.
Perform in-process inspection procedures and use basic precision measuring tools.
Record and sign off on all applicable data defined in the job router.
Collaborate with the shift supervisor to escalate unusual problems.
Ensure routers have required sign-offs completed.
Promote EHS initiatives and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 compliance.
