Job summary

QDSSJobsOhio is seeking an engineer to perform thermal analysis for gas turbine components and turbomachinery, using ANSYS and Altair. The role is 100% onsite in Cincinnati, OH, and requires a BS or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 3–6 years of engineering analysis experience, and US citizenship.

You will prepare models, run simulations, post-process results, and present reports for formal technical reviews.

Qualifications

  • BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3–6 years’ experience in Engineering Analysis; Aero-Thermal experience is a plus.
  • Experience with ANSYS and Altair products; strong MS Excel skills.
  • Able to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, and manage multiple tasks.

  • Geometry and mesh preparation.

Due to the nature of these roles, applicants must be US Citizens and be willing to obtain or currently hold a clearance. This role is 100% onsite in Cincinnati, OH

Required Skills (Technical Competency):
  • 3-6 years’ experience in Engineering Analysis, Aero-Thermal experience is a plus
  • BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, maintain composure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with ANSYS and Altair products
  • Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen
Desired Skills:
  • Exposure to the Aero Engines is highly preferred
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance, might need to do this work in the future.
  • Experience in adoption and/or integration of emerging technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, digital assistants) into day-to-day operations for continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.

Pay Ranges

$85,000 - $95,000 USD
