Therapy Technician – Gowanus

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a qualified, passionate Therapy Technician to join the team at its Gowanus clinic in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

• Support patient care by preparing treatment areas, gathering equipment and materials, and performing procedures under the direct supervision of a Physical or Occupational Therapist.
• Execute a high standard of clinical excellence while maintaining 5-star customer service.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure patients receive the care and support they need.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Attention to detail and willingness to grow.
• Athletic experience a plus.
• Manual dexterity, general strength and endurance to lift loads of 5-35 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, shoulder to overhead; carry loads of 5-10 pounds for 40-50 feet; push 5-150 pounds on casters, runners or pulleys; sustain a grip for 1-2 minutes of 40-50 pounds.
• Proactive, collaborative, team-oriented attitude; not working in silos.
• Passion for the field of physical and occupational therapy.
• Dedication to rehabilitating patients’ injuries and confidence/vitality.
• Passion for emotional intelligence pairing with clinical excellence.
