Job summary

Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - Taylor Campus in Taylor, MI, is a 40-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. We are seeking a Therapy Tech to join our team and work 30 hours per week.

The Therapy Tech will support licensed therapists, transport and prepare patients, position them, and assist with treatment plans. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within three (3) months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine rehabilitation procedures within a designated program set up by a licensed therapist and assist in maintaining optimal function.
• Transport, prepare, position and assist patients and therapists in the execution of the treatment plan.

Hospital Details

Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - Taylor Campus, located in Taylor, MI is a 40 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing routine rehabilitation procedures within a designated program set up by a licensed therapist, with the goal of maintaining an optimal functional level for the patient. Responsible for transporting, preparing, positioning, and in general assisting patients and therapists in the successful completion of the treatment plan.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required within three (3) months of hire.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Previous experience in rehabilitative techniques and procedures preferred.
• One (1) year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Exercise certification and/or related education preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
