Job summary

Halifax Health in Daytona Beach is seeking a Therapy Tech to assist patients under the direction of physical and occupational therapists in inpatient rehabilitation. The role includes direct patient interaction, setup and monitoring of treatment sessions, and support for routine office tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, preparing whirlpool baths and dressings, maintaining infection control, and documenting patient responses for therapists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current hands-on CPR/BLS certification.
• Good interpersonal skills; strength, endurance and mobility required.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, guests, clients, and residents to treatment areas.
• Assist patients on/off exercise tables or equipment and with transfers.
• Prepare whirlpool baths, dressings and assist with dressing changes.
• Adhere to infection control practices and clean whirlpool equipment.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and report to supervisor.
