Job summary

Lovelace Health System, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM seeks a day shift PRN Outpatient Therapy Service Technician to assist in delivering medically prescribed therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role includes preparing treatment areas and providing non-clinical support.

This position supports both the downtown and Rio Rancho clinics. HS Diploma or GED and BLS within 14 days of hire are required; preferred candidates have PT technician training or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Graduate of a certified physical therapy technician program or comparable experience is preferred.
• One year of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or outpatient setting as a therapy technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting medically prescribed therapy treatments to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Provide non-clinical support services to the therapist including maintaining patient treatment areas and basic clerical support.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
• This position will support both the downtown and Rio Rancho clinics.
