Job summary

Avera St. Luke's in Aberdeen, SD is seeking a Therapy Technician to support therapy services under the supervision of a therapist. The role includes preparing patients and treatment areas, performing clerical tasks, and assisting therapists and aides to ensure smooth patient flow in the clinic.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year patient care related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares therapy patients for therapy sessions.
• Collaborates with both the nursing and therapy team to optimize appropriate therapy times.
• Assists with treatments as directed by therapists.
• Monitors patients during visits and notifies therapists of any patient distress or concerns.
• Assists patients to wheelchairs/total lift chairs and transfers patients and equipment needed for therapy.
• Monitors and cleans therapy equipment, mats, etc, to insure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Provides clerical support as needed including answering phones, scheduling, and prior authorizations.
