Job summary

Cottage Health's Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital is seeking a Therapy Services Aide to support outpatient therapy by preparing treatment areas, transporting patients, and assisting therapists.

You will handle equipment setup, stocking supplies, and clerical tasks, while maintaining cleanliness per schedules. AHA BLS and healthcare experience are preferred, with basic MS Office skills required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree preferred or in progress.
• Minimum: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Basic MS Outlook and Word skills required.
• Preferred: basic anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology; safe body mechanics and how to lift/move patients and equipment.
• Preferred: experience in health care environment.

Responsibilities

• Support therapy services by performing duties including cleaning treatment environments and equipment according to schedules.
• Maintain equipment inventories and stock supplies and linen.
• Set up equipment and supplies for treatment and transport patients.
• Provide direct patient care in co-treatment with therapists.
• Provide clerical assistance to the department and applicable areas.
