Houston Physicians Hospital- Bellaire, part of United Surgical Partners International, seeks a Part Time Therapy Service Tech to assist licensed therapists and maintain patient care areas. This role supports scheduling, documentation, and daily equipment upkeep in a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and familiarity with basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma; college preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication with patients and physicians.
• Must have strong organizational skills and accurate documentation for billing purposes.
• Computer experience in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Licensed Therapists with daily patient treatment and care.
• Maintain cleanliness of therapy equipment and clinical areas.
• Support front office tasks: scheduling, filing, copying, authorizations.
• Keep patient case files updated as instructed.
• Participate in supervised clinical activities with therapists.
• Monitor linens, supplies, and inform clinic manager of needs.
• Organize equipment and supplies required for treatment.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Report equipment issues to the clinic manager.
• Record equipment temperatures and service dates as required.
• Support education activities and other tasks as assigned.
• Assist with clinical business office assignments as directed.

Therapy Service Tech at Houston Physicians Hospital- Bellaire

The Therapy Services Technician position will have responsibility for assisting the Licensed Therapists or Licensed Therapist Assistants with daily patient therapeutic treatment. Will provide assistance with patient care based on instructions given by the licensed therapist. Will assist with maintenance and updating of patient case files as instructed. Will assist the Front Office Coordinator in assigned patient care related tasks including scheduling, filing, copying and patient authorizations as instructed. Will be responsible for daily upkeep and cleanliness of therapy equipment and clinical areas.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in supervised clinical activities as deemed appropriate by the supervising licensed therapists, including direct patient contact.
• Maintainphysicalorderinthedepartment.
• Maintain/Monitorlinensupplies and communicate linen stocks and needs to the clinic manager.
• Organizeequipmentandsuppliesrequiredfortreatment.
• Provideexceptionalcustomerservicewheninteractingwithpatients, families,physicians and other employees.
• Monitorsupplyinventoryandreportneedsto theclinic manager.
• Reportunserviceable equipment requiring repair or replacement to the clinic manager.
• Monitor equipment service dates and report service needs to clinic manager.
• Monitor and record equipment temperatures and levels as required and reports any abnormal records to the clinic manager.
• Participatesinhospital and local clinic education and in-serviceactivities.
• Other tasks as assigned by the clinic manager.
• Assistwithclinicalbusinessofficeassignmentsasassigned by the clinic manager.

Qualifications:

• HighSchooldiplomarequired;collegepreferred.
• Stronginterpersonalskillsandabilitytocommunicateinafriendlyandprofessionalmannerwith both patients and physicians.
• Musthavestrongorganizationalskillsandtheabilitytoaccuratelydocumentinformationforbillingpurposes.
• Computerexperienceinwindows,spreadsheets,andwordprocessingpreferred.
