Description:Evaluates claimants/clients by administering tests and measurements to determine individual rehabilitation program needs.Provides or oversees ongoing assessment of claimant's/client's rehabilitation.Prepares, transmits, and maintains measurement and assessment records.Reports tests, assessments, and measurements to interdisciplinary teams as requested.Participates in writing and presentation of individual claimant/client treatment plans to include formulating goals and planning appropriate physical therapy treatment.Plans periodic reassessment of claimant/client progress and revises plan as necessary.Participates in ongoing continuing education and in-service training.Involves in research projects and program development.Trains pre-clinical and clinical physical therapy students and licensed physical therapy assistants and therapy aides.May be exposed to unpredictable client/claimant behavior, illnesses, and contagious diseases.Biennial renewal of licensure as physical therapist is required.
