Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Therapy Development Representative based in United States.

This is a remote, field-based sales role focused on expanding adoption of innovative vascular therapies across a multi-state territory.

The position will drive sales growth, market development, and therapy adoption across Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.

You will build new accounts, strengthen relationships with physicians and healthcare decision-makers, and develop key opinion leader partnerships.

The role combines consultative selling with clinical education, product training, case support, and in-service programs for medical teams.

You will become a trusted therapy expert, sharing clinical insights, market intelligence, competitive knowledge, and best practices with internal field teams.

Success requires strong territory planning, disciplined execution, customer influence, and the ability to translate complex medical technologies into meaningful clinical value.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced medical device or healthcare sales professional who wants to help bring new therapies to patients while owning a high-impact regional territory.

Accountabilities
  • Drive territory sales, annual operating plan performance, sales budgets, account development, and therapy adoption targets through effective commercial strategies and consistent execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed territory and market development plans, identifying target accounts, converting new business opportunities, expanding market share, and accelerating adoption of new vascular technologies.
  • Partner closely with vascular field teams and internal functions to identify opportunities, coordinate account strategies, and execute initiatives that support sustainable therapy growth.
  • Build productive relationships with physicians, hospital administrators, medical staff, key decision-makers, and other stakeholders who influence purchasing decisions and therapy adoption.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, using clinical knowledge and market insights to support adoption of new products and therapies.
  • Train, educate, and in-service healthcare professionals on new products, procedures, clinical applications, and relevant product features to ensure effective and appropriate use.
  • Plan and support clinical cases with physicians, manage expectations, engage in therapy-focused clinical conversations, and provide effective support designed to improve outcomes.
  • Conduct consultative sales presentations, understand customer needs, address objections, build consensus, secure commitments, and close business opportunities.
  • Monitor customer needs, respond to requests, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high standards of customer service and professional engagement.
  • Communicate market intelligence, competitor activity, pricing information, account developments, and potential sales opportunities to appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer service, finance, and other internal functions on initiatives such as inventory management, customer service protocols, and account support.
  • Manage territory expenses responsibly while maintaining compliance with financial, regulatory, quality, ethical, and FDA requirements.
  • Continuously develop technical, clinical, competitive, and reimbursement knowledge while participating in product and professional development programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 12+ years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience must be in sales, clinical, or related roles within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, life sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Ideally, 8+ years of experience selling medical devices or therapies in hospital, operating room, or medical capital equipment environments, with demonstrated success supporting new product launches.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new accounts, penetrate markets, grow adoption of innovative technologies, and consistently deliver against sales objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital, operating room, physician office, and related healthcare protocols and professional environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, train, and educate medical professionals, peers, and technical support teams on new devices, therapies, procedures, and clinical applications.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, relationship-building, presentation, influencing, and objection-handling skills, with the ability to build consensus among multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of competitive products, market dynamics, clinical applications, and the ability to communicate differentiated product value effectively.
  • Strong territory management, planning, organizational, financial, and analytical capabilities, with a disciplined approach to achieving sales and account development goals.
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive technical and clinical knowledge, including an understanding of the reimbursement landscape.
  • A bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • A consistent record of top-tier sales performance is preferred, including recognition such as President's Club or equivalent awards.
  • Candidates must be able to reside within the assigned territory and travel regularly to multiple customer accounts. A valid driver's license is required.
