SALARY RANGE
$33,760.00 - $37,136.06 Annually $1,298.46 - $1,428.11 Bi-weekly
Position Summary
Assist in planning, coordinating and implementing recreation/leisure activities for the people living at the Center. This includes having the ability to work in a variety of leisure settings such as arts and crafts, equestrian, aquatics, physical exercise, Special Olympics and other recreation activities on Center
The Work You Will Do
Supervise and implement recreation/leisure outings, field trips and special events to ensure appropriate use of community resource facilities.
Provide training to individuals/athletes for Special Olympic competitions, i.e., track and field, bowling, cycling, bocce, equestrian, softball, basketball, golf and volleyball.
Collect, tabulate and prepare data for cost accounting reports/ time studies.
Maintain records of progress/participation in rehabilitative therapy activities, ensuring documentation of training sessions for the purpose of tracking progress.
Prepare and clean activity area.
Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Knowledge of the objectives and techniques used in rehabilitation, recreational, occupational, or physical therapy.
• Ability to assist in or carry out therapy programs.
• Ability to observe patients' progress and identify changes.
• Ability to maintain records.
• Ability to participate in planning and organizing therapy programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Direct Deposit Program
As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.
