Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Therapy Aide / Therapy Tech for outpatient rehab. This full-time role supports therapists with patient care tasks, activities, and light clerical duties, with schedule Monday to Friday 7am–7pm and a starting pay of $18–$24 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient transfers, preparing patients for therapy, and maintaining infection control and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide preferred.
• Strong preference will be placed on candidates in PT/OT school.

Therapy Aide / Therapy Tech

Full Time - 32-40 hrs

Hours vary: Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm

Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience and internal equity.

Starting salary: $18 - $24 per hour based on experience

Therapy Aide for outpatient rehab clinic. Therapy Aide duties include patient care tasks. Examples of this include; supervision of patients working on assigned tasks, transferring patients, helping patients to and from different locations for programming, light clerical tasks, and other duties as assigned. Job duties also include, infection control cleaning and maintenance of therapy equipment. Positive attitude, flexibility, and good communication skills a must.

The Therapy Aide/Therapy Tech provides care under the direction of a therapist, this position exists to assist patients in the rehabilitation process through provision of requested activities.

Duties include driving routes, infection control cleaning, light equipment maintenance, assistance to clinicians for direct patient care (transferring, toileting), assistance to front desk for light clerical tasks, setting up patients on therapeutic activities, leading exercise groups, and other duties as assigned. Candidate must be hard-working, thrive in a fast-paced environment, friendly, energetic, able to multi-task, adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute to a positive team. Previous tech experience preferred but not required.

Position Summary

Assists therapy staff with identification and transportation needs for patient care in the rehab treatment areas and with the coordination of care between rehab and nursing floors.
