Child & Family Support Services (CFSS) is accepting applications for Full-time Therapist in Pima County.
Responsibilities
Provide counseling to children and families who are experiencing a range of stressors and traumatic events. Counseling approaches are strength based and family centered. Provide psychoeducation to caregivers and system stakeholders to promote an understanding of trauma and its impact on behavior.
Collaborate with family and team members to create recommendations for clinical services and strategies and approaches within a child's circle of relationships and life domains to support their development and promote resilience. Provide clinical recommendations to caregivers that can deploy to support a healing environment.
Facilitate clinical meetings (establishing an agenda, setting and maintaining a strength based meeting environment, staying within timeframes, giving all team participants the opportunity to contribute, holding people accountable for their commitments and the ability to assist a team in developing a consensus) for children and families.
Interact professionally with other stakeholders: Division of Child Safety (DCS), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), juvenile probation, Direct Service Providers (DSP), etc.
Perform other duties related to the position.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Must be a BHT with two years of related behavioral health work experience and a related Master's degree. Master’s degree/Licensure preferred.
Requirements
Must be 21 years or older.
Valid Arizona Driver's License with an acceptable 39 month driving record.
Reliable transportation, including proof of Insurance.
Candidates are required to submit a negative drug test.
Obtain an Arizona DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Complete Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid training.
