Job summary

Trilogy, Inc. is seeking a Substance Use Services Therapist to deliver integrated dual disorder treatment to adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The role emphasizes client-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed care and harm-reduction principles.

You will perform assessments, provide individual and group therapy, and manage referrals and linkage to community resources, delivering services both on-site in Chicago and virtually when needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field required.

Responsibilities

Compensation is discussed thoroughly in first interview. Hourly range $22 - 40/hr

Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Job Summary

The Substance Use Services Therapist will provide integrated dual disorder treatment (IDDT) to clients across all levels of care. They will provide client-centered, strengths-based evidence-based, and trauma-informed treatment to clients with co-occurring severe mental illnesses and substance use disorders utilizing a harm reduction approach. The Substance Use Services Therapist will provide assessment, individual & group psychotherapy, case management, and referral/linkage service to clients both in-person and virtually.

  • Provide integrated dual disorder treatment that is strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed clinical services to adults and their families with co-occurring mental health diagnoses and substance use disorders. This includes but is not limited to comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment, collaborative individualized treatment planning, and individual/group therapy, skills building, and case management services.
  • Maintain a complete understanding and working knowledge of Illinois Administrative Rule 2060 and ASAM Criteria.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with the input of the client, their team, Providers, and natural supports.
  • Collaborate with the client’s team, medical providers, to ensure quality of treatment and coordination of care.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients, linking them to needed community services; assess client’s personal, medical, social, emotional, and environmental situation to plan for linkage and treatment course.
  • Ensure compliance, maintain, and provide comprehensive initial assessment, progress notes, treatment plans, individual therapy notes, continue stay reviews, discharge planning in accordance with Illinois Administrative code 2060 and ASAM criteria.
  • Meet and exceed direct service target for this position.
  • Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • CADC Required (Or eligible to get within 6 months of hire)
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other closely related field required
  • Minimum one to two years’ experience working with people with co-occurring mental health and substance use diagnoses
  • Clinical experience providing individual and group therapy to adults in a community mental health setting preferred
  • IM+CANS certification required or must obtain IM+CANS certification within 30 days of hire date.
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License with daily access to a vehicle. Must have $100,000/$300,000 auto liability insurance.
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaker preferred.
