University of Dayton is seeking a dedicated therapist for the Counseling Center. This 10-month position involves individual and group therapy, after-hours crisis support, and supervision of graduate trainees.

The role emphasizes prevention, education, and treatment to support student wellbeing, resilience, and academic success. The ideal candidate will uphold client confidentiality, act as a generalist for diverse student needs, and be willing to work evenings and weekends to best serve the UD

Qualifications

• Doctoral or master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited program.
• Current independent licensure in Ohio as Psychologist, LPCC-S, LISW-S, or LMFT-S.
• Knowledge of mental health needs of a college-aged population.
• Active crisis intervention experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience facilitating groups and supervision.
• Commitment to confidentiality and ethics.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and group therapy, including crises intervention and after-hours support.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide brief emergency interventions.
• Supervise and train graduate trainees; review sessions and supervisees’ documentation.
• Provide outreach and psychoeducation to students and campus partners.
• Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with standards and laws.
