Therapist - Secure Assessment Facility (Part-Time)

Position Overview

The Therapist supports clients and their families by providing therapeutic services, case management, crisis management, transition planning, and aftercare. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, collaborating with the treatment team, developing service and safety plans, and delivering counseling to promote healing and stability. Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic factors is essential.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Master's in behavioral sciences or education, with licensure as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW, or pursuing full licensure. Certifications in TF-CBT, Family Systems, and EMDR are preferred.
  • Experience: At least three years in treatment services within foster care, residential treatment, or behavioral health settings. Experience in residential treatment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and deliver counseling and case management services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with referral sources, families, and support systems
Additional Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Good judgment and ability to work independently
  • Effective communication skills, organizational and time management abilities
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and clean driving record
  • No felony or child abuse convictions
  • Flexible schedule and on-call availability
Working Conditions

Exposure to children with behavioral issues, possible physical aggression, illness, and blood. Travel may be required. Emergency and crisis intervention services are part of the role. Reliable transportation is necessary.

Access to sensitive client and personnel records requires strict confidentiality and adherence to policies.
