Job summary

Life Help seeks an experienced therapist to join a diverse clinical team delivering community-based mental health services. You will develop and provide treatment strategies within a therapeutic milieu, working across school and home settings.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s Degree and DMH licensure eligibility, with a Mississippi driver’s license. The role offers full-time hours and opportunities for professional growth within a supportive organization.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or DMH approved related field.
• Eligible to meet DMH Certification/Licensure requirements for Therapist.
• Valid Mississippi Driver's License

Responsibilities

• To develop and provide appropriate treatment strategies within a therapeutic milieu.
• Provide therapy in school and home settings (individual, group, school based, family and day treatment if applicable).
• Provide referral to services that may benefit the consumer, consumer's family and/or school personnel.
• Establish weekly meetings with case manager(s).
• Serve as liaison between student, home, school, and community resources such as family service agencies, child guidance clinics, courts, protective services, doctors, local MAP teams and clergy members.
