Job summary

Life Help in Clarksdale, MS is seeking an experienced therapist to develop and implement treatment strategies within a therapeutic milieu. The role includes delivering therapy in school and home settings (individual, group, family, day treatment if applicable) and coordinating with case managers and community resources.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in counseling/psychology/social work, is DMH-licensed or eligible, and has a valid Mississippi driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or DMH approved related field.
• Eligible to meet DMH Certification/Licensure requirements for Therapist.
• Valid Mississippi Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• To develop and provide appropriate treatment strategies within a therapeutic milieu.
• Provide therapy in school and home settings (individual, group, school based, family and day treatment if applicable).
• Provide referral to services that may benefit the consumer, consumer’s family and/or school personnel.
• Establish weekly meetings with case manager(s).
• Serve as liaison between student, home, school, and community resources such as family service agencies, child guidance clinics, courts, protective services, doctors, local MAP teams and clergy members.
