Job summary

Clover Staffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Carbondale, Illinois, to assist physicians in evaluating and treating respiratory disorders.

You will perform diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans with physicians, monitor responses, and operate ventilators in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• NBRC RRT credential required
• CRT certification required
• BLS/ACLS certification required
• State licensure required (49 states regulate respiratory therapy)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and perform diagnostic tests (arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests).
• Develop respiratory treatment plans with physicians.
• Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy.
• Set up and operate mechanical ventilators and aerosol generators.
• Manage life-support equipment in critical care settings.
• Administer respiratory treatments (oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy).
• Respond to emergency situations (cardiac arrest, trauma).
• Collaborate with healthcare team on patient management.
• Educate patients and families about disease management.

Experience

• - Associate degree or higher from accredited respiratory care program (2-3 years).
• - Pass NBRC Therapist Multiple-Choice (TMC) examination.
• - Pass NBRC Clinical Simulation Examination (CSE).
• - 2+ years clinical respiratory care experience preferred.
• - Pass state licensure examination.
