Responsibilities

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and IOP Therapist

REGISTRY/PRN

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Performing social service functions including assisting clients with their bio-psycho-social needs and providing therapeutic treatment skills to help them achieve emotional health.
• Providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers and families.
• Offering crisis intervention, individual therapy, short-term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
• Serving as an integral member of the treatment team and managing casework related to consumers' support systems.
• Responding effectively to requests for information on various human service needs.
• Demonstrating effective communication skills and thorough knowledge of the Illinois Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act.
• Working effectively with patients of any age and understanding normal growth, development, and crisis intervention techniques.

Qualifications

Experience/Education: Must have a Master's Degree in a related mental health field. At least two years of experience in a behavioral health setting, with expertise in individual, family, and group therapies, crisis intervention, and assessment skills, especially with children and adolescents.

Licensure/Certification: LPC/LSW required; LCPC/LCSW preferred. Candidates may pursue a Clinical Psychologist designation as an alternative. Verification through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations is required.
