Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a Physical Therapist I to evaluate, plan, and implement therapy and educate patients to maximize function.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience and BLS certification within 30 days. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care in a supportive environment.

• Certification/License: BLS required (within 30 days of hire or transfer).

• Documents thoroughly and timely; understands reimbursement related to practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the care team; provides education.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers as appropriate.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education and evidence-based practice.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.

• Must have good communication skills. Be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.
