Job summary

Suncoast Center, Inc. seeks an Outpatient Therapist to deliver evidence-based mental health treatment to individuals and families in our Clearwater, FL office.

The position includes assessments, treatment planning, and individual, couples, family, and group therapy, with both in-person and telehealth options. The role requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field; licensure is not required, though licensed or license-eligible candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete mental health and psychosocial assessments as part of the diagnostic evaluation.
• Provide evidence-based mental health treatment to clients in person or via telehealth.
• Conduct intakes, treatment planning, and psychotherapy services to diverse populations.
• Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy as needed.
• Complete and maintain documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
• Promote communication and collaboration among agency programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in Mental Health and Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Licensure not required; licensed or license eligible preferred.

Therapist Responsibilities Include

Job Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a negative drug screening prior to hire and throughout employment.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check, local checks, and DCF Level II Background Screening prior to hire and annually.
• Must have valid Florida Driver’s License and pass motor vehicle checks prior to hire and annually with acceptable driving record maintained throughout employment along with reliable vehicle, valid registration, and valid vehicle insurance.(must be in compliance with Florida Laws and Administrative Codes with fingerprinting and determined to be of good moral character).
