Job summary

Life Help in Grenada, MS seeks an experienced Therapist for group, individual, and family therapy. The position involves crisis management, clinical assessments, and referrals to meet diverse mental health needs for adults and children.

Responsibilities include obtaining and maintaining DMH licensure, building partnerships with local authorities, and providing on-site assessments when needed. This is a full-time role with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Mental Health Field is required.
• Eligible to meet DMH Certification/Licensure requirements for Therapist.
• Valid Mississippi Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Therapy (group, individual, family).
• Crisis management; direct clinical services for a broad range of Mental Health needs including diagnostic impressions, clinical assessments and referrals.
• Obtain Therapist Certification of License as required by the Department of Mental Health and maintain Certification/License in good standing.
• Build collaborative professional partnerships with community stakeholders including local police department, sheriff’s department and hospital(s).
• Work with local authorities, on site when warranted, to assess mental health needs during law enforcement interventions.
• Assess individuals to determine services/interventions/resources needed and refer as appropriate.
• Participate in in-center emergency system and hospital consultations as needed.
• Participate in crisis management after-hours services as scheduled.
• Conduct civil commitment pre-screening evaluations as needed.
• Provide case and/or program consultation with family and outside resources (agencies) as needed.
