Oak Plains Academy, a UHS company, seeks a dynamic Therapist (MA/MSW) to join our structured residential program for youth. You will provide individual, group and family therapy and coordinate treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team on site near Nashville, Tennessee.

The role requires a Master’s degree in social work or clinical services, Tennessee licensure (LPC/LCSW/LMFT), and 1–2 years’ experience with emotionally or behaviorally distressed youth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work/clinical services field.
• Licensed by the State of Tennessee in social work or related field (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Eligibility for licensure track acceptable.
• 1–2 years experience with youth with emotional/behavioral diagnoses.
• Background check, fingerprinting and employment verification required.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee therapeutic services for a caseload of residents.
• Act as treatment plan coordinator for the master treatment plan and discharge plan.
• Work with the Department of Child Services on family team meetings and hearings.
• Provide individual, group and family therapy as required by licensure and contract.
• Participate in treatment planning, risk management, aftercare and discharge planning.
• Communicate with staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues.

Oak Plains Academy, (a UHS company) is seeking a dynamic and talented Therapist (MA/MSW) to join our team of professional employees.

Oak Plains Academy is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to children and adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve. Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories.

The Therapist will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of residents. This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each resident. The individual is required to work with the Department of Child Services with regards to child family team meetings and court hearings. Along with completing appropriate documentations. They will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned residents at Oak Plains Academy as required by contractual and licensure obligations. They will also participate in subsequent treatment planning, risk management assessment and aftercare and discharge planning. They will actively communicate with staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to residents and their family members, caregivers and placement options.
