Job description

Responsibilities

San Marcos Treatment Center is a 212-bed, seclusion-free psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in Central Texas. Spread across 65 acres, it features various living units separated by gender, age, and development levels, along with amenities such as swimming pools, gymnasiums, sports courts, playing fields, ropes course, canteen, social area, and a healing trail. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys aged 6 to 17, utilizing customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to help young patients manage their behavior, emotions, and social skills.

Position Overview

We are seeking licensed therapists to work with our adolescent population. As part of the clinical team, you will document services, engage in care coordination, and provide direct behavioral healthcare services, including assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, group, and family therapy, case management, patient and family education, and discharge planning.

Join a motivated clinical team that specializes in evidence-based practices such as play therapy, garden-based therapy, ropes course therapy, Nurtured Heart approach, DBT, Smart Recovery, Screamfree Parenting, and Trauma Focused Yoga. Our team members present at national conferences and share expertise in these areas.

Qualifications
  • Texas LPC, LPC-Associate, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or LMFT-Associate licensure
  • Ability to provide effective short-term individual, group, and family therapy
  • Proficiency in MS Word and clinical documentation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Customer-oriented approach ensuring positive satisfaction
  • Flexibility for evening and weekend family therapy sessions
  • RPT certification is strongly encouraged
