Job summary

Highland Springs in Highland Hills, Ohio, is seeking a Lead Therapist to join our behavioral health team. You will monitor patient safety, conduct drug screenings, and lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions for patients with behavioral health or substance use concerns.

You will drive treatment planning, oversee discharges, and develop after-care plans. A Master's degree and Ohio licensure are required, with CPR/CPI within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or counseling.
• Current LISW or LPCC licensure in Ohio.
• Experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
• CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients for safety and report concerns or potential substance use to the Program Manager.
• Conduct drug screenings as needed in collaboration with outpatient nursing staff.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions for patients with behavioral health or substance use concerns.
• Lead group discussions and implement group programming tools and resources.
• Lead treatment planning and revise goals as patient progress is evaluated.
• Oversee patient discharges and develop thorough after-care plans with appropriate follow-up.

How You'll Contribute

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a Master's degree in social work or counseling and relevant state licensure. Additional requirements include:

• Current unencumbered clinical licensure (LISW or LPCC) according to the state of Ohio
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
• CPR and CPI certified within 30 days of employment
• May be required to work flexible hours
