Job summary

Novant Health's Twin City Pediatrics in Clemmons, NC is seeking a Licensed Clinical Counselor to provide counseling services to children and adolescents age 5 and up. The role is PRN with three days per week and evening shifts, requiring compassionate care and experience with pediatric patients.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling, at least three years of experience, and appropriate licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in pediatric/adolescent counseling.

What We Offer

Job Title: Licensed Clinical Counselor (LPC/LCMHC)

Location: Clemmons, North Carolina

Department: Twin City Pediatrics

PRN | Three days per week/Evening shift required

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Counselor to provide counseling services to children and adolescents ages 5 and older. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the mental health needs of pediatric and adolescent populations and be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of patients and families.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual counseling services for children ages 5+ and adolescents
• Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing therapeutic support
• Utilize evidence-based counseling techniques to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with care teams, families, and other providers to support patient care
• Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for patients

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate Degree, required. Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of three years experience, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor or Clinic Phd/PsyD level Psychologist, required.
  • For the Substance Use Therapist role, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist or Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate with above required license, preferred.
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire. Team members in strictly remote positions are exempt. Team members working strictly in behavioral health outpatient clinics are exempt from state approved curricula but are required to take NEC0170 De-escalation Techniques and Effective Communication Strategies within 3 months of hire, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Good working knowledge of computers. Ability to care for Behavioral Health Age Specific populations.
