Hourly Pay Range: $33.20-49.80 DOE

The Therapist 1 will be providing services in Out-Patient services. The current schedule we offer is Monday through Friday starting at 7:30 AM.

Pacific Grove Hospital is a nationally recognized 68-bed acute psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment center offering inpatient & outpatient services for psychiatric illnesses, addictions & co-occurring disorders. Our hospital offers comprehensive training, dynamic leadership, and personalized support to help you achieve your greatest potential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of a Therapist 1:

  1. Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families to treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.
  2. Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans.
  3. Conduct individual, group, or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan.
  4. Provide initial treatment planning based on assessments and coordinate additional services as needed, revising plans accordingly.
  5. Maintain documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards, revising as necessary.
  6. Maintain an assigned caseload.
  7. Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate patient services.
  8. Services may be provided in inpatient or outpatient settings.
  9. Perform case management, discharge, or aftercare planning as needed.
  10. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards patients. Address and work to resolve complaints, prioritizing patient safety.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Human Services required.
  • At least one year of experience working with a comparable patient population required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers or eligibility for licensure.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility policies.
