Job summary

Legacy Community Health in Houston seeks a Clinic Based Therapist to provide high-quality psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families in a behavioral health setting. The role offers a hybrid schedule with one in-clinic day per week and opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and community-focused care.

The position requires a master's degree in social/behavioral sciences, full Texas licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT), CPR/first aid, and at least 2 years of psychotherapy

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social or behavioral science from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold a full Texas license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) in good standing.
• CPR/First aid certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years paid psychotherapy experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen new clients to identify presenting problems and urgent needs.
• Administer psychosocial assessments with care and precision.
• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy across ages.
• Collaborate with physicians and other providers on client-centered interventions.
• Reassess clients and update treatment plans as needed.
• Work a full-time flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
• Meet with a clinical supervisor monthly to review cases.
• Document all client encounters within three working days.
• Perform billing activities per agency procedures.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Advise patients on health and illness prevention, including family planning.

Skills

MS in social/behavioral sciences

Texas full licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT)

Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)

First aid / CPR certified

2+ years psychotherapy experience
