Job summary

Family & Children's Services seeks an Overnight Triage Therapist to deliver crisis services, assessments and stabilization in a high-paced crisis facility located in downtown Tulsa. The role supports diversion from inpatient care and emergency rooms.

The position requires a master’s degree in social work or counseling and Oklahoma licensure (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) or licensure under supervision, with availability for overnight shifts and strong risk assessment skills.

  • Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in Oklahoma or under supervision for licensure.
  • Availability to work an overnight schedule.
  • Proficient in identification and treatment of mental disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis assessments, triage and stabilization in a 24/7 crisis facility.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Document events accurately and maintain safety in emergency situations.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Overnight Triage Therapist provides a range of crisis services which divert individuals experiencing behavioral health crisis from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, jail and emergency rooms. The Triage Therapist performs assessments, crisis stabilization & clinic-based triage in a clean, updated and safe crisis facility with 24/7 security, located in beautiful downtown Tulsa.

Therapist Requirements
  • A master's degree in social work, counseling, or its equivalent from an accredited school.
  • Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma or under supervision for licensure.
  • Availability to work an overnight schedule
  • Must be proficient in the identification and treatment of mental disorders.
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments; demonstrate knowledge in crisis intervention and a working knowledge of 43A, Oklahoma Mental Health Law.
  • Demonstrate competency in conducting specialized risk assessment of suicidal and other high-risk individuals.
  • Perform efficiently in emergency situation remaining calm, and documenting events.
  • Must work well in a very fast paced, crisis-centered environment.
  • Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record.
