Paycom - ATS in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced MST Bilingual Therapist for the Southern Dallas region. The role delivers Multisystemic Therapy to youth and families, conducts assessments, and coordinates care across systems to promote recovery and functioning.

The position requires fluent Spanish and English, a TX license or eligibility, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel 20%–100%. A 40-hour work week with on-call coverage is expected.

Qualifications

  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
  • Must meet criteria for a Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC), LCSW, LMSW, LMSW-I, LPC, LPC-A, LCDC or LMFT licensed in Texas.
  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license and automobile liability insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Multisystemic Therapy (MST) to youth and families with behavioral, antisocial, or substance use issues.
  • Offer individual and family therapy and case management within MST framework.

Title: MST Bilingual Therapist - Southern Dallas

Position’s Role Summary:

North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA), based in Dallas is responsible for developing a collaborative system of care for children, adolescents and adults with severe mental illness and other serious emotional disturbances, as well as those experiencing a substance use disorder.

Travel is required as part of this role’s duties. Travel can vary from 20% to 100% per day. This would include all counties within NTBHA Catchment area (Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro & Rockwall Counties).

This role may be required to use a fleet vehicle and/or a personal vehicle for business needs. This may include, but is not limited to field & home visits, offsite meetings, co-located sites and/or pick up items for business needs, etc. If your program requires transport of individuals, this would only be allowed with a company vehicle and approval from management.

This position is classified as exempt and requires flexibility in scheduling to meet organizational needs, including adjusting work hours as necessary to ensure job responsibilities are completed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • This position’s actions and work must align with NTBHA values and goals, regulations, and policies and procedures, and meet all documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • This position is responsible for providing Multisystemic Therapy (MST) to youth and their families who present with behavioral, antisocial and/or substance use issues.
  • The MST Therapist will also provide assistance throughout the individual’s continuum of care and/or treatment episode, to include offering individual and family therapy, in addition to case management services.
  • The MST Therapist conducts MST assessment including review of referral information, identifying, and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
  • The MST Therapist engages primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
  • The MST Therapist Implements a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcomes review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.
  • The MST Therapist maintains clear, timely, and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the nine MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process and maintains clear, timely and concise documentation required by NTBHA per HHSC rules and regulations.
  • The MST Therapist has the ability to engage and collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system, to maintain alignment throughout MST treatment.
  • The MST Therapist provides direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices.
  • The MST Therapist participates in all MST training, supervision, consultation, and MST Therapist development activities. The MST Therapist consults and works directly with the MST Program Manager and MST Consultant and MST Director (Back-up to MST Program Manager) for consultation. Clinical Supervision provided by the MST Program Manager. Administrative Supervision provided by the MST Director.
  • The MST Therapist coordinates with community partners and provides linkage to community-based services, eliminating barriers, and identifying available resources and recovery supports in the community.
  • Target identified individual and family needs and goals relative to recovery will be central. Completes Treatment plans with client & families as required by deadlines per HHSC guidelines and rules.
  • Performs moderately complex local authority/coordination work with assisting clients in accessing/linkage to behavioral health, medical, housing, transportation, financial, social, and other appropriate services/supports that are consistent with the individuals’ recovery goals.
  • Conducting In home and community visits to work with the adolescent’s systems to improve functioning and support for the family.
  • MST Therapist will communicate with the MST Program Manager and MST Director regarding any client issues, program issues, questions, suggestions, any new information regarding program and follow directives given in program implementation with clients and reporting of measure outcomes. MST Therapist will communicate with families to complete TAMs promptly and MST Therapist will complete the SAM as required.
  • Follows work directives and will complete any additional assigned duties by the MST Program Manager. Duties and projects may be assigned or changed to meet business needs.
  • Assists with Outreach at events and in the community letting potential stakeholders know about MST Services and How to make referrals.
  • Work is achieved under clinical supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills as well as the ability to use multiple computer software applications.
  • MST Therapist will deliver MST to a caseload of 4-6 families, as required to address program needs.
  • Requires cellular availability after hours and flexible work hours to meet program needs. Responsible for adherence to and compliance with NTBHA policies and procedures and state regularity codes.
  • MST Therapist will assure availability of clinical support or crisis intervention to families 24 hours/day, 7 days/week by working 40 hour week and 24/7 during scheduled on-call time.
Qualifications: Education, Training and Experience (including licensure and certification)
  • Masters degree in clinical or counseling psychology, counseling, or social work, or bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years experience working with family and/or youth services.
  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
  • Must meet the criteria for a Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC), LCSW, LMSW, LMSW-I, LPC, LPC-A, LCDC or LMFT who is licensed and in good standing with the state of Texas.
  • Must have familiarity with HHSC/DSHS rules and guidelines with respect to required service and documentation guidelines.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and automobile liability insurance, with a good driving record.
  • Experience in working with adolescents and their families is preferred.
  • Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of the youth (i.e., family, peer, school and neighborhood).
  • Previous work providing in-home or community-based therapy services preferred.
  • For Bilingual MST Therapist position- Proficient in the Spanish and English language (spoken and written).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations and other guidelines of HHSC and MST; Knowledge of managed care operations; Knowledge of DSM IV and 5 criteria.
  • Knowledge of Family systems theory, social ecological theory, Behavioral and CBT theory and application.
  • Work autonomously and to make decisions consistent with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Create, analyze, prepare, and maintain records, files, documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Recognize problems and identify and facilitate solutions.
  • Knowledge of community resources, local indigent behavioral health systems and local authority/service coordination principles, objectives, standards and methods, and of program policies and procedures. Able to collaborate and partner with community agencies to assist families.
  • Constructively and efficiently work with other professionals and staff, community representatives, persons with disabilities, and family members.
  • Foster strong, positive, and effective working relationships with inter-agency and intra-agency team members, encouraging and supporting interaction among various team members across organizational lines.
  • Work autonomously and to make decisions consistent with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and use effective interpersonal skills to communicate ideas and complex concepts with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds through oral and written communication.
  • Foster strong, positive, and effective working relationships with inter-agency and intra-agency team members, encouraging and supporting interaction among various team members across organizational lines.
  • Respect diverse views and approaches, and contribute in maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
  • Must be able to work on and have knowledge of a PC (personal computer)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and software.
