Job summary

Access Mental Health Agency (AMHA), a subsidiary of SUN Behavioral Health, delivers community-based behavioral health services across Georgia. The Behavioral Therapist provides direct therapy in homes, schools, and workplaces, traveling in their own vehicle, to support client goals and functional improvement.

We seek a clinician with a CACREP Master’s degree and post-graduate mental health experience. LPC/LCSW/LMFT or associate licensure preferred; strong communication and documentation skills

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral or social sciences field from a CACREP-accredited program.
• Post-graduate experience providing mental health services including therapy and behavioral interventions.
• Preferred credentials: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Associate licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy, group counseling, and behavioral interventions.

Behavioral Therapist – Community‑Based Services

This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who enjoys flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful, hands‑on work in the community. The Behavioral Therapist provides therapeutic and behavioral health services directly in client‑preferred environments, helping individuals improve functioning, develop coping skills, and achieve treatment goals.

The Behavioral Therapist is responsible for providing high‑quality, community‑based mental health and substance use services. This role involves traveling in your personal vehicle to meet clients where services are most effective, including homes, schools, and workplaces.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Providing individual therapy, group counseling, and behavioral interventions
• Conducting assessments and developing or updating treatment plans
• Offering supportive counseling and crisis‑responsive interventions
• Completing documentation and case management tasks per state and agency requirements
• Supporting client stability, recovery, and long‑term growth through community‑based engagement

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral or social sciences field from a CACREP university/college (required)
• Demonstrated post‑graduate experience providing mental health services, including therapy and behavioral intervention (required)
• Preferred credentials: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Associate licensure
• Strong engagement, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and travel within the community
