Universal Health Services seeks a licensed Therapist to provide bio-psycho-social assessment and deliver crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, and group therapy as part of an integrated treatment team. Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education: Master’s Degree in a mental health/human services field from an accredited college (counseling, social work, psychology) required. Experience: Two (2) years experience desired, preferably in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in individual, family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment. Experience working with the child/adolescent population. Licensure/Certification: LCSW/LCPC preferred. Certification as alcohol or other drug abuse counselor preferred. Successful completion of CPR certification and the current patient aggression management training, including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 90 days of employment. Knowledge/Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population. Knowledge of information referral. Knowledge of the federal, state and local laws that pertain to enquires right to privacy and confidentiality. Knowledge utilization review. Knowledge of legal obligations for reporting abuse and/or neglect. Knowledge of community resources relating to patient care. Knowledge of individual, family and group therapy techniques. Knowledge of crisis intervention procedures. Knowledge of therapeutic planning and techniques. Understand the importance of adapting to the various client age groups (adolescent/child). Knowledge of the treatment of chemical dependency. DHS/DCFS background/knowledge. Must possess physical and emotional health to meet the demands of the position. Effective oral and written communication skills. Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines. Must be a self-starter and goal/results-oriented. Ability to use good judgment and to maintain confidentiality of information. Microsoft Office and computer skills. Strong customer service skills to external and internal customers. Ability to adhere to safety policies and code procedures react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to accept direction and adhere to policies and procedures. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Strong problem solving skills.
