Job summary

Gateway Rehab Center in Youngwood, PA is seeking a full-time Substance Use Disorder Therapist for our halfway house. You will provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy, with a trauma-informed approach, to help clients build lasting recovery.

Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills are essential, as is maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory guidelines. This role offers meaningful work, a supportive team, and opportunities for supervised growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health/human services.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Pass Pennsylvania background checks and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with the treatment team.
• Promote trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Assess progress and adjust treatment plans.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate continuing care and referrals.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Maintain a 50% productivity expectation.
• Participate in supervision and ongoing training.
• Cover other programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize and promote trauma-informed treatment through evidence-based practices.
• Participate in developing individualized treatment plans and outcomes in collaboration with the treatment team.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy based on patient needs.
• Assess patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources connected to patient caseloads.
• Coordinate continuing care planning and make appropriate referrals.
• Monitor and complete insurance authorizations for assigned patients.
• Provide referrals for additional care and support services as needed.
• Maintain an ongoing productivity expectation of 50%.
• Participate in regular supervision and seek additional guidance when appropriate.
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements and all confidentiality standards.
• Follow OMHSAS, DPW, and DDAP regulations and guidelines.
• Complete required orientation and annual training programs.
• Provide coverage for other programs as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments for substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Requirements

What do we require?

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a health and human services field.

Additional Requirements

• Pass a Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check.
• Obtain Pennsylvania Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances.
• Pass a drug screening.
• Complete a two-step TB test.
• Obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
