Hope Valley Health & Wellness in Wasilla, Alaska, is seeking a passionate licensed therapist to join our team. You will deliver evidence-based mental health care and substance use disorder treatment through individual and group sessions, guided by CBT techniques.

The role requires Alaska licensure (LCSW/LMFT/AMFT or equivalent), CPR/First Aid, and a strong ability to manage caseloads with client-focused care. Experience with electronic charting and crisis intervention is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure in Alaska (ACSW/LCSW/AMFT/LMFT/APCC/LPCC) required.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with substance use disorder clients preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  • TB test or chest x-ray current.
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and initiate discharge plans at admission.
  • Maintain assigned caseload and deliver individual therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Assist in staff education on behavior management or therapeutic strategies.
  • Support training of new clinical staff and interns.
  • Complete utilization reviews in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate community referrals and ensure continuity of care.
  • Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and track progress.

Summary

We are seeking a passionate Therapist to join our team at Hope Valley Health & Wellness in Wasilla Alaska. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering transformative mental health care through evidence-based practices and holistic therapies.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts psychosocial assessments and initiates a discharge plan at admission.
  • Maintains assigned caseload.
  • Facilitate appropriate therapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions.
  • May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
  • May assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns.
  • Completes utilization reviews in a timely manner.
  • Complete necessary community referrals and ensure continuity of care with other agencies as needed.
  • Conduct assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and managing clients' progress.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Current license, ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC or LPCC is required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorder preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
  • Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing services needed to clients.
  • Experience in electronic charting preferred.
  • Experience with conducting client group sessions, and one on one sessions is required.
  • Strong understanding of the principles and application of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail
