New Living Healthcare Services (NLHCS) is seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist to provide assessments, psychotherapy, and referrals across a broad consumer base. All services follow professional ethics and boundaries.

Responsibilities include planning and administering therapy, evaluating client needs, and coordinating with external providers as required. Strong crisis management and documentation skills are essential for delivering quality care.

  • Ability to recognize crisis situations, assess danger, and intervene, including hospital transport if needed.
  • Recognize dual diagnosis and substance abuse problems.

  • Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy.
  • Clinically evaluate consumers to detect abnormal behavior.
  • Review results of evaluations to assess client needs.
  • Discuss progress toward goals and objectives with consumers, including medication management, family relationships, education, social development, discharge plans.
  • Consult external providers for treatment plans and coordination of care.

Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The basic functions of the New Living Healthcare Services (NLHCS) Licensed Clinical Therapist are to provide assessments, psychotherapy and referrals to a broad range of consumers.

All services are provided in accordance with professional ethics and boundaries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess consumers to obtain information concerning social history, treatment, and other pertinent information.
  • Plan and administer therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and stress management therapy to assist consumers in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.
  • Clinically evaluate consumers to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
  • Review results of psychological evaluations and evaluations from community providers to assess client needs.
  • Discuss progress toward goals and objectives, such as medication management, family relationships, educational programs, social development, discharge plans or other behavioral problems, with consumers..
  • Consult external community providers concerning treatment plans and for coordination of care, as required.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor(LGPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Masters Degree in related field of social work or counseling
SKILL AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to articulate a coherent philosophy regarding a psychotherapeutic approach or approaches within generally accepted practices of psychotherapy.
  • Ability to accurately recognize crisis situations, assess potential danger to consumers and/or others, and effectively intervene and assist with hospital transportation, as needed.
  • Ability to recognize dual diagnosis and substance abuse problems.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years experience in counseling and case note documentation
  • Working knowledge of Core Service Agencies
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
SALARY
  • $60 - $70k/year, based on experience and performance
