Job summary

Lone Star Circle of Care in Central Texas is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor for outpatient therapy. You will deliver individual therapy in person and via telehealth to diverse patients, including children aged 5 and older, focusing on access to care and behavioral health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) or licensed professional counselor (LPC) with Texas license
• Experience providing individual therapy in outpatient settings
• Knowledge of DSM-5-TR and clinical assessment practices

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy to patients aged 5 and up in outpatient settings

Qualifications:

You are a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor that is passionate about working with the underserved population and those who may be experiencing significant barriers to care. You want to grow a practice where you get to decide the best therapeutic modalities for your patient and work with them on achieving their therapeutic goals in an outpatient setting. You are comfortable providing individual therapy both in person and virtually.

• Willing and able to see patients ages 5+


• Licensed in the State of Texas as an LCSW or LPC


• Proactive and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting


• Comfortable working independently in a group setting while also seeking support and consultation from colleagues


• Possesses extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR and utilizes initial interview and screenings to provide diagnoses and care planning


• Collaborates with patients, and effectively communicates clinical impressions, while assessing strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs


• Ability to interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety, including whether a patient needs a higher level of care


• Possesses computer/technology skills to efficiently document using an electronic health record and conduct telemedicine visits, as well as communicating/meeting with colleagues virtually
