Job summary

Lone Star Circle of Care is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to provide outpatient individual therapy to underserved populations. You will work in a fast-paced clinic, seeing patients ages 5 and up, with the flexibility of in-person and virtual sessions.

Responsibilities include conducting initial interviews, diagnosing and planning care using DSM-5-TR, and collaborating with patients and community partners to ensure safety and appropriate care levels.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Texas as an LCSW or LPC.
• Experience providing outpatient individual therapy.
• Ability to conduct initial interviews and screenings for diagnosis and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy in outpatient settings, in person and via telemedicine.
• Develop diagnostic impressions and care plans using DSM-5-TR.
• Collaborate with patients to assess strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs.
• Coordinate with community partners and emergency services to ensure patient safety when higher levels of care are needed.

You are a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor that is passionate about working with the underserved population and those who may be experiencing significant barriers to care. You want to grow a practice where you get to decide the best therapeutic modalities for your patient and work with them on achieving their therapeutic goals in an outpatient setting. You are comfortable providing individual therapy both in person and virtually.

• Willing and able to see patients ages 5+
• Licensed in the State of Texas as an LCSW or LPC
• Proactive and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Comfortable working independently in a group setting while also seeking support and consultation from colleagues
• Possesses extensive knowledge of DSM-5-TR and utilizes initial interview and screenings to provide diagnoses and care planning
• Collaborates with patients, and effectively communicates clinical impressions, while assessing strengths, barriers, and psychosocial needs
• Ability to interact and collaborate with community partners and emergency medical/psychiatric service providers to ensure patient safety, including whether a patient needs a higher level of care
• Possesses computer/technology skills to efficiently document using an electronic health record and conduct telemedicine visits, as well as communicating/meeting with colleagues virtually
