Job summary

Bradford Health Services in Shreveport, LA seeks a licensed Therapist to support individuals, families, and groups with evidence‑based interventions. You will assess mental health, create treatment plans, and facilitate individual or group therapy, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care during crises.

Ideal candidates hold LPC/LCSW/LMFT or equivalent, with experience in crisis intervention and confidentiality adherence; teletherapy and EHR familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Valid state licensure as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PLPC, LMSW, or equivalent.
• Experience providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychological and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

About The Role

As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals, families, and groups to improve their mental health and overall well-being. You will provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client, helping them navigate life transitions, manage emotional challenges, and develop coping strategies. Your work will involve assessing clients’ mental health status, creating treatment plans, and facilitating individual or group therapy sessions. You will also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients facing crisis situations or behavioral health issues. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing clients’ quality of life and fostering resilience in the face of psychological difficulties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), PLPC, LMSW, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in clinical practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations across different age groups and cultural backgrounds.
• Training or certification in specialized therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma‑informed care.
• Experience facilitating group therapy sessions and family therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
• Additional certifications in anger management or life transitions counseling.
