BULLY TALK INC. is seeking a part-time on-site Therapist to provide individual and group counseling for youth affected by bullying in the Bay Area.

Qualifications

  • Licensed or eligible mental health professional (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist) or closely related credential.
  • Experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, or young adults.
  • Crisis intervention and trauma-informed care experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with clear documentation.
  • Experience in school, community, or nonprofit settings; ability to present psychoeducation/workshops.
  • Ability to manage a part-time caseload while maintaining confidentiality and ethics.

Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Therapist role based in the Bay Area. The Therapist will provide individual and group counseling to youth impacted by bullying, including those who have experienced bullying and those who have engaged in bullying behaviors. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing care plans, and using age-appropriate therapeutic interventions to promote emotional well-being and positive behavioral change. The role involves collaborating with caregivers, educators, and community partners to coordinate support and reinforce anti-bullying strategies. The Therapist will also maintain accurate clinical documentation, contribute to program development, and participate in outreach or workshops that advance the organization's anti-bullying mission.

Qualifications
  • Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist) or closely related credential, with experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, or young adults.
  • Demonstrated skills in individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care, preferably with youth affected by bullying, anxiety, depression, or related concerns.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse youth and families, using culturally responsive, non-judgmental, and strengths-based approaches.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear clinical documentation, care planning, and collaboration with caregivers, schools, and community organizations.
  • Experience working in school, community, or nonprofit settings and comfort presenting psychoeducation or workshops related to bullying, resilience, and social-emotional skills.
  • Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage a part-time caseload, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical and legal standards of practice.
  • Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field; relevant certifications in child/adolescent therapy or trauma-informed care are a plus.
