Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Poplar Bluff, MO seeks a licensed Therapist to provide individual, group, and family counseling across settings, including telehealth when appropriate. You will assess, diagnose, and treat clients, develop tailored treatment plans, and collaborate with internal teams to coordinate services.

A strong grounding in evidence-based practice is required. Requirements include a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field, and LPC/LCSW/LMFT

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
• Professional licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT with state-based eligibility.
• Ability to provide telehealth services and in-person counseling.
• Background and driving checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, family, and/or other counseling in various settings to meet treatment goals.
• Conduct intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within required timeframes.
• Determine and document diagnoses based on assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans per agency standards.
• Participate in treatment meetings and provide case feedback.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely service approval.
• Document all services per state regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate service entries and address documentation deficiencies.
• Assist clients during transitions, completing necessary summaries.
• Represent the agency professionally within the community.
• Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and clients.
• Handle crisis situations and coordinate emergency services as required.
• Facilitate group counseling, family therapy, and specialized services.
