Job summary

Personalized Nursing LIGHT House (PNLH) in Michigan is seeking a qualified Primary Therapist to join our team in a structured residential setting. You will provide individual and group therapy to adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders using the LIGHT Model to guide care.

The role requires a Master’s degree and licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, etc.) and relevant certifications (CADC/CAADC/MCBAP) with possible development plans; preferred experience in SUD counseling

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and licensure in social work or counseling.
• CADC, CAADC, or MCBAP Development Plan (support provided to obtain plan if not currently held)

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly individual therapy for assigned clients
• Facilitate therapeutic groups weekly on PNLH-selected topics
• Use the LIGHT model in assessment, education, and counseling
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and respond to client needs
• Monitor service utilization and coordinate care with internal and external providers
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with authorization and billing requirements
• Maintain client confidentiality and participate in case conferences
• Other duties as assigned

Position Summary

As a Primary Therapist, you will deliver individual and group therapy to adult clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will use the LIGHT model to guide clinical decision-making and support clients in achieving sustainable recovery.

Qualifications

Required

• Master’s degree and licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, etc.)
• CADC, CAADC, or MCBAP Development Plan (support provided to obtain plan if not currently held)

Preferred

• Minimum two years of experience in substance use disorder counseling
• Training in trauma-informed care
• Experience treating co-occurring mental health disorders
• Familiarity with authorization processes for Michigan’s PIHP system

Compensation

• Competitive hourly rate up to $30.00, commensurate with education and experience

8:00am-4:30pm

Salary Information

$28 - $31Hourly Wage
