Job summary

CK Family Services seeks a licensed mental health professional to join our team in Dallas. The role focuses on trauma-informed education, clinical support for various departments, and collaboration to implement best practices in therapeutic interventions.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in psychology, social work, or counseling, and Texas licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D., Psy.D). Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
  • Licensed in Texas (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D., Psy.D) required.
  • Experience with children with emotional disturbances and complex diagnoses.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office and agency portals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Trauma education, training, and equipping for clients, staff, and families.
  • Provide clinical support to CK Family Services departments and families.
  • Collaborate with CK Family Services departments on therapeutic best practices and interventions.
  • Develop and update treatment plans with specific goals for clinical interventions.
  • Complete Clinical Assessments and document comprehensive data.
  • Report critical incidents to Behavioral Health Services Leadership and assist in action planning.

Job Summary

We are searching for a self-disciplined, passionate team player who thrives in a detail oriented, dynamic environment to join the CK Family.

General Responsibilities
  • Provide Trauma education, training, and equipping for clients, staff, and families
  • Provide clinical support to CK Family Services departments and families
  • Collaborate with CK Family Services various departments regarding therapeutic best practices, clinical interventions, and offer therapeutic insight
  • Therapeutic tools review with recommendations for implementation
  • Engage in mental health awareness protocols agency wide per requests from executive leadership
  • Represent CK Family Services at community meetings as needed
  • Develops a treatment plan and update with specific goals delineating clinical intervention unique to the
Patient
  • Applies appropriate theory that is scientifically sound as a basis for decisions regarding clinical practice
  • Collects and documents clinical data that is comprehensive, accurate and systematic
  • Expand the clinical product of CK Family Therapy
  • Provide support to clinicians as needed, including but not limited to: modeling appropriate techniques, brainstorming alternative strategies, accessing needed resources, developing and implementing action plans, and assessing understanding and implementation of modeled services.
  • Effectively administer Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths assessments (CANS or CANS 2.0) or Adult Needs and Strengths Assessments (ANSA)
  • Approve as needed CANS or ANSA in CMBHS when notified by assigned clinicians to ensure timely submission as backup
  • Complete Clinical Assessments to provide a clinical diagnosis as needed.
  • Report critical incidents with Behavioral Health Services Leadership immediately. Develop action plans as needed.
  • Participate in Child and Family Team meetings as appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and agency administrative meetings as required.
  • Provide training as required.
  • Complete documentation timely and accurately.
  • Open and process mail / e-mail daily in a timely manner.
  • Answer phone, collect messages and respond to requests timely and accurately.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required by federal and state laws and regulations, as well as maintain compliance with all CKBH policies, procedures, and state and federal laws.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Requires Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field
  • Texas Licensure for LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Ph.D., Psy.D required.
  • Experience in working with children with severe emotional disturbances, and complex diagnosis
  • A working knowledge of delivery of therapeutic services based on curriculum.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills that include but are not limited to data entry, MS Office, jobsite portals and company software.
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people
  • Strong cognitive, decision-making and problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on new projects with a “can do” attitude
  • Strong desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability work effectively under stress and remain flexible in changing situations.
  • Ability to participate in training and facilitate training as required.
  • Perform the physical demands of the position –
  • Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people;
  • Ability to step backwards, grasp, bend at the waist and knees, lower 30-50 pounds to the ground, be able to get up and down from the floor without assistance, exhibit full range of motion in both arms and legs, and be able to do a deep, reverse lunge (SAMA Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression).
  • Ability to walk frequently; stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; squat occasionally, climb stairs infrequently, and kneel and twist as needed.
  • Sufficient good health to properly fulfill all role responsibilities. Employees shall not be permitted to work who have infectious diseases or skin lesions for the duration of the communicability.
