Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related clinical field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible (LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC) as required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with youth; 1 year with families preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency and strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to show empathy and build rapport with youth.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family counseling to youth and families; provide group therapy to youth in transitional living program.
  • Conduct clinical assessments of youth for entry into the counseling and/or housing programs.
  • Provide clinical support to housing programs and consultation on cases to agency staff as needed.
  • Fully document assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and case notes according to agency and professional standards.
  • Provide training and education for Huckleberry House staff on mental health diagnoses, interventions, and clinical indications for provision of services.
  • Maintain required caseload and meet established productivity standards.
  • Attend weekly individual and group supervision, team meetings as assigned by the clinical supervisor and required agency meetings.
  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of all documentation.
  • Serve on an agency committee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

The therapist provides high quality individual, group, and family therapy for young adults participating in the agency transitional living program. Supports clinical decision-making and staff training in a variety of agency settings. Provides on-site assessments, counseling sessions, group sessions, and/or clinical support and consultation as an essential job function.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provides individual and family counseling to young people and their families; provides group therapy to young people in transitional living program.
  • Conducts clinical assessments of youth for entry into the counseling and/or housing programs.
  • Provides clinical support to housing programs and consultation on cases to agency staff as needed.
