Job summary

Phoenix Futures is recruiting for a Therapeutic Worker to join a Trauma Responsive Women’s Therapeutic Community Residence. You will manage a small caseload of women, develop personalised care plans, and deliver therapeutic groups and interventions within a collaborative, family-inclusive framework.

The role follows a 4-week rolling rota with evening, night, and weekend work. A supportive environment offers enhanced wellbeing benefits, a market supplement, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with individuals with complex and unique needs.
• Involvement with families and individuals in relation to substance use or similar domains.
• Aptitude for creative thinking and adaptability to evolving service requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple agencies while upholding service standards.
• Good working knowledge of adult protection and safeguarding in a residential setting.

Job description

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Phoenix Futures team as a Therapeutic Worker at our new and innovative Trauma Responsive Women’s Therapeutic Community Residential Service, Ophelia House.

The Role

• Effectively manage a small caseload of less than five women, conducting assessments and developing personalised care plans that cater to their unique needs
• Embrace our “community as method” model to work not only with users of our services but their families and wider surrounding networks to ensure that everyone is equipped with the tools, knowledge and approaches, all essential to a long-term recovery
• Deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialised interventions as per the Therapeutic Community manual and service needs
• Champion an environment and a culture that, as well as being safe and compliant, truly fosters compassion and development
• Manage and co-ordinate the care process for service users, from admission to discharge planning

Please note that you will work on a 4 week rolling rota involving evening, night and weekend work.

About You

To be considered as our Therapeutic Support Worker, you will need:

• Experience of working with individuals with complex and unique needs
• Prior involvement in collaborating with families and individuals in the realm of substance use or relevant domains
• Aptitude for creative thinking and adaptability to accommodate the evolving requirements of the service
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate seamlessly with multiple agencies, while upholding the service’s esteemed standing
• Good working knowledge of adult protection and safeguarding, as the role entails working with vulnerable women in a residential environment

We are now looking for an experienced Therapeutic Recovery Worker to join our brand new Trauma Responsive Women’s Therapeutic Community Residence on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role will be working in a women’s-only residential service specialising in providing safe therapeutic environments for those who have experienced multiple disadvantage and those who have experienced past trauma. Therefore there is an Operational Requirement for this role to be fulfilled by a female (determined compliant under ACAS guidelines for recruiting applicants with a protected characteristic to do a certain job).
